Our Methodology
Dalmor Journal operates under the following editorial principles: articles are reviewed by at least one second editor before publication, sources are cited where appropriate, corrections are noted publicly, and writers disclose any commercial relationships that could influence their selection of subject matter.
Editorial Independence
The publication exercises full editorial independence over all published content. No commercial partner or external party influences the selection, framing, or editorial conclusion of any article. Writers hold final ownership of their stated positions.
Source Verification
Every factual claim in a published article is traced to a primary source — a peer-reviewed study, a published report, or a directly attributed expert statement. Sources are noted within the body text and available upon request.
Dual-Editor Review
All pieces undergo review by a primary editor and a second editor before publication. The second editor focuses specifically on factual accuracy and sourcing rather than style, ensuring both dimensions receive dedicated attention.
Corrections Policy
When an error is identified post-publication, a correction note is appended to the relevant article with a timestamp. The original content is not silently altered. Readers who identify factual inaccuracies are encouraged to write to the editorial office.
Disclosure Requirements
Writers are required to disclose any commercial relationships relevant to their subject matter at the time of submission. Undisclosed conflicts of interest are grounds for retraction. Accepted commercial partnerships are noted prominently within the content.
Reader-First Framing
Every article is written for a reader seeking considered, grounded information rather than rapid instruction. The publication avoids sensationalism, unfounded superlatives, and promotional registers in its editorial content.
From Pitch to Page
The publication cycle at Dalmor Journal follows a structured sequence designed to prioritise quality over velocity. Articles are not published on a fixed schedule — they are published when they are ready.
The average time from commissioned pitch to published article is three to five weeks. This accommodates the research window, dual-editor review, fact verification, and final copy review stages described in the process steps opposite.
Writer submits a 150-word pitch outlining the article angle, primary sources to be consulted, and a proposed word count. The editorial board reviews pitches within five working days.
Accepted pitches receive a commissioning note. The writer then enters a research and drafting window of one to two weeks, drawing on peer-reviewed sources and direct observation where applicable.
The primary editor reviews the draft for structure, tone, and alignment with the publication's editorial register. Queries are returned to the writer for a single round of amendments.
A second editor independently reviews every factual claim, tracing each to its stated source. Unverifiable claims are either sourced, qualified, or removed before the piece proceeds.
The final piece is published with a publication date and author attribution. An internal record of all source materials is retained for a minimum of 24 months post-publication.
What Qualifies as a Source
The publication draws a clear distinction between primary sources, qualified commentary, and general observation. The tier below governs how each type may be used in editorial content.
Published studies from indexed journals. These are the highest-confidence sources and may be cited directly in the body text. The study title, journal, and year are noted where cited.
Statements from qualified wellness professionals, certified nutritionists, or accredited fitness practitioners. Attribution includes the individual's field and qualification basis.
Reports, guidelines, and data published by recognised public bodies, national health institutes, and internationally accredited nutritional organisations. Used as contextual reference rather than primary claim support.
Writer's own practice, routine documentation, or experience. Used in personal-essay pieces and clearly framed as observation rather than general guidance. Not used in place of Tier 1-3 sourcing for factual claims.
What Dalmor Journal Covers
The publication's coverage spans the practices and decisions that shape a man's daily life — how he structures his mornings, organises his nutritional approach, maintains his physical capacity, and considers his personal presentation across seasons.
Articles examine these topics through an editorial lens, drawing on published nutritional research, movement science, and observed practice rather than prescriptive instruction. The tone is considered rather than directive.
Articles published on Dalmor Journal are editorial in nature and reflect the writers' observations on everyday wellness practices. The content is not intended as professional advice, nor as guidance for the management of any specific condition.
